Lemon
The origin of the Lemon is unknown but it is thought to have been first grown in India, in a place called Assam.
They are a hybrid between a sour orange and a citron. 51% of a normal lemon is Vitamin C. Lemon tree leaves are commonly used to make natural fruit teas.
Lychee
The Lychee is a member of the genus Litchi in the soapberry family. It is a tropical plant, originating in China.
Wild lychee trees still grow in parts of southern China and on Hainan Island. It is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin B6 and Potassium.
Limes
Limes are full of Vitamin C and other antioxidants. There are many species of limes, including the Key lime, Persian lime, desert lime, and makrut lime.
It not only has an impressive nutritional value, it’s also excellent for cooking and in drinks!
Lingon Berry
The Lingon Berry is a sour berry commonly used in Nordic countries. It’s origins are most Scandinavian countries.
These berries are now grown in over twenty different countries. The berry is packed full of nutrients including Manganese, Vitamin B5 and Vitamin C.
Lady Apple
Lady Apples are some of the most common apples around the world for good reason. Their sweet tastes and attractive appearance make them very desirable for buyers.
Logan Berry
The Logan Berry is a hybrid between the black berry and raspberry. While it looks more like the blackberry, it gets its dark red hue from the raspberry.
The Berry is named after it’s creator (James Harvey Logan). This berry is high in antioxidants and so is cancer preventing. It is of course rich in Vitamin C as well.
Lancetilla Mango
The original lancetilla mango tree is believed to have been the result of a cross between the Saigon and Mulgoba mango varieties. The skin color is red, The flesh is lemon yellow in color. It has a very sweet flavor.
The Lancetilla mango is rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin A.
Liberty Apple
The Liberty Apple was first produced in 1955 and was released for public consumption in 1978.
The apple is sweet. They are medium sized and have a very distinctive dark red, almost crimson, colour. The apple is high in carbohydrates, and vitamins.
Limequat
The Limequat is a hybrid between a Lime and a Kumquat. It is sour, but not as sour as a normal lime. It is usually eaten as it is.
The juice is used to flavor dishes. The Limequat is high in nutrients such as Vitamin C, they are also a good source of folic acid.
Loquat
The Loquat is an evergreen shrub. The Loquat is a fruit that is very popular in Spain. It originates from China. The leaves are perfect for making teas.
The colours can range from yellow, to orange and red. It is high in nutrients including Vitamin A, Potassium and Vitamin B6.
