Hackberry

Hackberries are orange when they are un-ripe but turn a deep purple when ready to harvest.

The little fruits are native to Eastern North America. They are similar looking to a normal blueberry. They are rich in protein and phosphoric acid. Their trees  can grow up to 70 feet tall!

Horned Melon

The Horned Melon is native to Africa, but is now cultivated all over the world, some of the countries that cultivate this fruit are New Zealand, Australia, Kenya, France and Israel.

The fruit is high in Vitamin C and Vitamin A, it is also high in carbohydrates and Magnesium. They can grow up to twenty feet.  Also known as Kiwano fruit.

Huckleberry

Huckleberries are native to the north-western United States and Canada. Huckleberry bushes grow up to ten feet. They look similar to a blueberry.

They require elevations of from 2,000 to 11,000 feet and reportedly thrive in acidic mountain soil. They are high in Vitamin C and Vitamin A, while also being a good source of Thiamin.

Honeycrisp Apple

Honeycrisp apples are a medium to large sized apples. averaging 7 to 10 centimeters in wide, and have a round shape with a generally uniform appearance.

The apple’s skin is thin, easily bruised or damaged, and is glossy with a dimpled surface. The fruit is rich in potassium and energy. Vitamin C is also found in the delicious fruit.

Hardy Kiwi

Actinidia arguta otherwise referred as hardy kiwi is a native fruit of Japan, Korea, China and Russia.

From the outside they look a lot different from a normal kiwi, as they have a round smooth surface without the hairs of a normal kiwi. They resemble a gooseberry more than a conventional kiwi. They look almost the same from the inside though.

Honeydew Melon

Honeydew melons are an excellent source of vitamin C and a good source of potassium.

Honeydew melons are small to medium fruits, averaging 15 to 22 centimeters in diameter and 4 to 8 pounds in weight, and have a round to oval shape with blunt, curved ends. They are native to West Africa.

Hazelnut

 

Hazels are exceptionally rich in folate, which is a unique feature for the nuts. They are very high in Vitamins B, E and C.

They are native to the coast of the Black Sea in Turkey. Hazel nut trees grow up to 16 feet tall.

Hala Fruit

Pandanus tectorius also known as the Hala Fruit is native to Asia, more specifically, India.

They are initially green but then turn a bright red colour when they are ripe and ready to eat. They are rich in Antioxidants, Vitamins and other Minerals.

 

 

Himalayan Mulberry

The Himalayan Mulberry is very similar to the more common Black Mulberry.

They are native to the Himalayan Mountains and popular in China and India. Himalayan mulberries are high in anthocyanins, which is an antioxidant that is good at combating oxidative stress and boosts our health.

Heirloom Tomato

The Heirloom Tomato is native to Mexico and Central America. They were introduced to Spain in the 16 th century by the conquistadors and soon spread to Portugal and Italy.

They are one of the most popular varieties of tomato in Spain. They are high in Vitamin A, and Antioxidants.
