Things that Starts with D – as you can probably tell, this website is all about things that start with all the letters of the alphabet.

Dolphins
Dolphins are aquatic mammals that are sociable and intelligent. They can be found all around the world.
Whenever I think of dolphins I think of this quote from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams:
“For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”
Dog
Dogs are familiar to most people as a family pet. There are different breeds from tiny chihuahuas to huge Saint Bernards. Labradors make very good assistance dogs, while collies are good with herding sheep.
Drawer
A drawer can be found in a piece of furniture like a cabinet or table. Its aim is to store things neatly like clothes or cutlery.
Doorbell
A doorbell is an electronic device next to your front door that visitors can press to let you know they are there. A chime is then heard in the house. Modern doorbells have cameras and sound so that you can converse with your visitor, even if you are not home.
Door
Your home will have many types of doors from your front and back doors to internal doors.
